No problems with the floating up of the "Norfolk Express"

16.06.08

The “Norfolk Express”, which recently ran aground in the Gulf of Suez, could be towed free on June 13th 2008 after the vessel had been lightened by removing bunker. Absolutely no environmental damage was caused.

After a survey of the damage to the underwater hull by Germanischer Lloyd, the ship continued on to Jebel Ali.

The 245m long “Norfolk Express” was built in 1995 and can carry 3,600 TEU.
